The Interior Landscape, filmed between 2007 and 2010, follows step-by-step the great collective adventure involved in the constructionby the EPFLof the Rolex Learning Center. Situated on the campus of the École Polytechnique Fédérale in Lausanne, it is dubbed the Library of the Future. This immense building in the form of a large wave came out of the imagination of the Japanese architects, Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa, founders of the SANAA architectural firm. Its complex realization required the participation of an army of architects, engineers, and workmen, without even counting the many professors, researchers, librarians, and students basically all the users who were a bit concerned about the idea of living in such a large open interior landscape made of hills and valleys in space.
