Journey in Sensuality
Anna Halprin uses the scultures of French Artist Rodin as Inspiration for expressive Dances on the beaches and in the forests of California. After the success of "Breath Made Visible", "Journey in Sensuality" - with an original score by Fred Frith - allows new insight into the process and work of the world-renowned dancer and choreographer. A call to creativity.
A portrait of dance pioneer Anna Halprin’s vision of Auguste Rodin’s sculptures - and her creation of stunning, sensual dances on the beaches and forests of California. During a major career retrospective in Paris, Halprin visits the Musée Rodin and is so deeply moved that she decides to use Rodin’s sculptures and her art as an expression of hope for humanity. With Fred Frith’s soundtrack, this moving portrait captures the essence of Halprin’s artistic process, her terrific kinesthetic sense and affinity with Rodin, and her Sea Ranch Collective's deep connection to nature.
