Ernst Scheidegger tells of how he grew up in Zürich during the war years and of his involvement in the resistance against the Nazis. He recalls his first contact with art and his friendship with Alberto Giacometti, hois most important portaitist. During this time, he also photographed the artists'scene in Paris, where very personal shots were created.
As of 1952, he worked for the "Magnum" agency as a photographer and travelled in the Arab world, as well as to India and the Far East.
Today, Ernst Scheidegger is retired but continues to work as a visuel designer.
