Unser Dorf
The children's village in Trogen at the beginning of the 1950s. Under the leadership of Heinrich Meili (Sigfrit Steiner), the compact but also rather unstable community of young, exiled Europeans is becoming more and more independent. Then, at Christmas, they are dealt a terrible blow. The children are rehearsing a Christmas peace celebration when the carer Wanda (Eva Dahlbeck) arrives with the news: the Poles are not happy about the ‘rejectionist conditioning’ of their orphans in Switzerland and demand that they return home immediately.
Two children who have formed a close bond are particularly hard hit: the orphan girl Anja (Krystina Bragiel), who has lived in Germany for a long time, and the sensitive Pole Andrzej (Wojtek Dolinski).
